taken by a drunk driver in September of 1995.

Last year, we ended up raising a little over $2,500 for STRIPES through the money
vote, t-shirt sales, short sales, and the ice cream social.  The biggest challenge
was changing the actual event.  But together we were able to solicit solid
participation, raise a good amount of money, and have a lot of fun.  We hope to
continue this success this year.

This year ten sororities signed up to participate in the
Otters in the Endzone
football tournament this year.  The participation for our philanthropy is unique in
the way that we decided that merely donating money to STRIPES wasn't enough.
Instead, we decided that it would be more beneficial that our service project for the
philanthropy be actually sober driving for the program.  Therefore, STRIPES can
benefit from a monetary donation as well as receiving the much needed
volunteers to drive students home safely.  We feel these efforts will help combat
the dangers of drunk driving in the long run.
